You can delete your ReefIQ account and all associated data directly from within the app. No email or support request is needed.
How to Delete Your Account
- Open the ReefIQ app on your phone
- Go to the Settings tab (bottom navigation)
- Open Account & Subscription and tap Delete Account
- Confirm the deletion when prompted
This action is permanent and cannot be undone.
What Gets Deleted
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:
- Authentication account — your ReefIQ Cloud login is permanently deleted
- Tank profiles — all tank names, settings, and configurations
- Water parameters — all stored readings (manual, Apex, device)
- Livestock records — coral, fish, and invertebrate entries
- Journal entries — all text and voice journal entries
- AI Assistant history — all chat and voice conversation transcripts
- Health reports — all AI-generated health assessments
- ICP reports — uploaded PDFs and analysis results
- Maintenance tasks — schedules and completion history
- Parameter alerts — all configured alert rules
- Device registrations — device links to your account
- Device telemetry — all stored sensor readings
- Push notification tokens — notification registration
What Is NOT Deleted
- Local app data — preferences stored on your device remain until you uninstall the app
- Device firmware — your ReefIQ hardware devices (Flo, Cora) continue to operate independently
Data Retention
No user data is retained after account deletion. The deletion is carried out via a GDPR-compliant cascade that permanently removes all associated data from ReefIQ Cloud — authentication, databases, and file storage.
Can't Access the App?
If you are unable to access the app to delete your account, contact us at reefiq.tech@gmail.com with the email address associated with your account and we will process the deletion manually.
